Looking for Isle of Man TT camping close to the course? Ballaugh Camping is a small, family-run campsite on Glen Road in Ballaugh, around a three minute walk from Ballaugh Bridge on the TT route.

Ballaugh Bridge is one of the island’s most famous viewing spots. Staying nearby means you can get to the racing easily, then come back to your pitch when you want a break. We’re located on the inside of the track with The Raven pub and Spar shop just 200 metres away, making it easy to grab food, drinks, and essentials during race week.

Travelling alone for TT? Ballaugh is a brilliant base for single riders. Our compact 25m² pitches fit two bikes and a small tent comfortably, giving you an affordable spot close to the action.

The communal cabin has everything a touring biker needs: charging stations, a full kitchen with utensils, hot water, laundry facilities, and a TV showing TT Live. When the weather turns, there’s somewhere warm and dry to sit, cook a proper meal, and swap stories with other TT fans. Many solo guests return year after year for the easy-going atmosphere and the sense that you’re part of something bigger than just a campsite.

Pitch sizes to suit different setups

We have a range of grass pitches for TT guests. These include smaller pitches for tents and bikes, right through to larger touring pitches and extra-large electric hook up pitches for bigger motorhomes.

Some pitch types are only available during TT and Manx Grand Prix periods, including our compact 25m² tent pitches. All other touring pitches are available across the season.

TT pitches are in very high demand, especially those near the facilities and the best access routes to the course. To reserve your spot, book online as early as you can to secure your pitch:

Arriving during TT

Arriving during TT

TT weeks can involve road closures and one-way systems on parts of the course. If you are arriving on a race day, please check the TT road closure schedule before travelling and allow a little extra time.

How to find us

Do you offer electric hook up for TT?

Yes. Electric hook up is available on selected grass pitches. Availability varies during TT, so early booking is recommended.

Is the campsite on the TT course?

The campsite is not directly on the course, but it is very close. You can walk to Ballaugh Bridge in minutes for course-side viewing.

Is the campsite on the TT course?

Near course, walkable viewing.

Can I stay for Manx Grand Prix too?

Yes. We offer TT-style camping during the Manx Grand Prix with a similar booking approach, including compact tent pitches that are only available during race periods.

Are TT-only tent pitches available?

Yes. Our 25m² tent pitches (suitable for 2 people, small tent + 2 bikes) are available only for TT and MGP periods. These pitches do not include electric hook up.

Do you take group bookings for TT?

We can accept groups depending on pitch availability and setup. If you’re travelling with multiple tents or vehicles, please contact us with your dates so we can advise on suitable pitches.

Is there glamping available for TT?

Yes. We have a Mountain View Glamping Pod and three luxury bell tents. All glamping options are fully furnished and located within the campsite. Availability for TT is limited — view options on the Glamping page.

What facilities are open during race week?

All standard campsite facilities remain open during TT, including toilets, hot showers, the communal kitchen cabin, laundry, Wi-Fi, recycling points, the dog shower and the small on-site shop.

Are road closures an issue when arriving?

TT weeks include road closures and one-way systems on parts of the course. Please check the TT road closure schedule before travelling. If you need advice on the best route in, see our How to Find Us page.

Do you recommend early booking for TT?

Yes. TT pitches, especially those close to facilities or with electric hook up, fill very quickly. Booking early gives the best chance of securing your preferred pitch or glamping option.
