7. Campsite Rules
Our site is family-friendly, and we aim to provide a peaceful environment for everyone. Taking this into consideration, the following applies:
- Behaviour: No aggressive, violent, or antisocial behaviour will be tolerated. Guests may be asked to leave immediately without refund.
- Speed Limit: 10mph on all access roads.
- Generators: Permitted between 7:30am and 9:00pm only.
- Noise: Please keep noise to a minimum. As the campsite is within a peaceful village, we have a quiet time policy after 10.00pm. This includes no loud music and shouting. We also ask that all children return to their pitch/unit and refrain from any ball games/bike riding etc.
- Fires and BBQs: Allowed only in raised firepits or BBQs a good height from the ground and fire mats are to be used. Must never be left unattended and must be extinguished by midnight. No open ground fires.
- Gas Use: Gas appliances must only be used outdoors in well-ventilated areas.
- Smoking: Not permitted in any building or glamping structure.
- Children: Must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Ball games to be well away from other visitors and their campers/motorhomes/tents.
- Dogs: Dogs are welcome free of charge on camping pitches. They must be kept under control, on a lead, and their waste disposed of properly. No dogs left unattended in vehicles or accommodation. Excessive barking will not be tolerated.
- Waste: Use designated bins and chemical waste disposal points. Leave your pitch clean and tidy on departure. Recycling is available also which is located behind the bathroom block.
- Damage: Any damage to Ballaugh Camping property or equipment must be reported immediately.
- Wardens: Please listen to the wardens, who will advise on how to park within your allocated pitch. This is to ensure that sufficient space for fire regulations is given. Wardens are there for your safety.
- Failure to comply with these rules may result in removal from the site without refund.
8. Permanent Pitches
- Permanent or seasonal pitches will be advertised via our website and social media.
- Vehicles and caravans must be secured when unoccupied, and electric hook-ups disconnected when not in use.
- Unfortunately, we cannot grant season pitches to tents. Season pitch holders are allowed to use awnings when at their caravan but we ask that they are put away when you leave. They are not to remain up for over 2 weeks.
- Guests will be asked to temporarily move vehicles to allow maintenance or grass cutting. The pitch is to remain neat and tidy and grass sufficiently cut. You will be asked to move the motorhome if the grass is dying underneath.
- Ballaugh Camping must be informed if your unit will be unoccupied for over 24 hours. If your vehicle has an alarm, and you are not present, you must be available to turn the alarm off at short notice or have left the keys with the office.
- The 2026 season will run from Friday 24th April to Monday 28th September 2026, or as otherwise published via our website and social media.
